Holiday Cooking Tips
Posted on December 15th, 2014 by Chips Restaurants
If you’ll be doing most of the cooking for this year’s holiday festivities, then you’ve probably already put some thought into the ingredients you need and the time required to prepare each meal. Furthermore, you might have even started to think about what you’re going to do with all of the leftover food once the holidays are over! But before you can get that far, you must put a ton of time and effort into whipping up the perfect holiday meal. At Chip’s Family Restaurant, we want you to do so safely! If you’ll be spending most of your time in the kitchen over the next week or so, check out the following holiday cooking tips:
1. Make as much as possible ahead of time! The less you have to prepare when guests are around, the better.
2. Leave other household chores for when the cooking is finished. If you’re busy running around to take care of other things while you cook, not only could you over cook your food, but you also put your home at risk for a fire or other cooking related incident.
3. Give yourself as much space as possible. Even though having your appliances at the ready makes it easier to get things done, clutter can seriously impede your ability to prepare meals in a timely fashion.
Is spending time with your stove not on your agenda for this year? Let us do the cooking for you!
