Chip’s Family Restaurant Presents: Father’s Day Dinner Ideas

If you thought Mother’s Day came and went rather quickly, well, now it’s dad’s turn! This Sunday, it’s all about celebrating dad and thanking him for the things he does for us and our families 365 days a year. With that in mind, we’re curious as to what your Father’s Day plans are for this week. Will you be showing your appreciation by making dad a nice home cooked meal? Whether your plans are specific to Sunday or you’re just looking for additional ways to say thanks on the days leading up to your Father’s Day festivities, we want to help you get ready and prepare the best that you can. That’s why we’ve put together a list of dinner ideas that dad is sure to love:

Buffalo Shrimp: Is dad a fan of wings? If buffalo wings tend to be a part of his order, take things up a notch by cooking up some buffalo shrimp! And just like you would with wings, don’t forget to include celery and blue cheese or ranch on the side.

Ribs: Although ribs require some extra preparation time, they are a great meal option for dad! But be sure not to use all of your barbecue sauce at once – you’ll want to save some to add as an extra layer on top once they’re finished cooking!

Lobster Rolls: Since Father’s Day is also the first day of summer, you may be in the mood for some summer delights. If this is up your alley, we suggest lobster rolls! All you’ll need is lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chives and tarragon (depending on taste preferences).

Sirlion Steak: Looking for something a bit more traditional? Stick with steak! To top it off, you can offer dad a variety of different spices to choose from when it comes time to add some flavor.

Pulled-Pork: Last but not least, pulled pork is another tasteful option for any Father’s Day celebration. Though like ribs, pulled pork can have a pretty long cook time, the mouth watering result will be well worth it!
