It’s National Waffle Day! One of our favorite days! And if you’re into breakfast the way we are, we bet you’re pretty excited about the day too.
In honor of this sweet celebration, we’re taking today to outline a few different types of waffles that you can munch on at just about any time of the day – breakfast, lunch or dinner; check them out below:
Belgian Waffle: Ah, the classic belgian waffle – a staple of almost every breakfast menu. If you’re looking to sink your teeth into one of these, be sure to stop by one of our five locations today.
Nutella and Fresh Strawberry Waffle: Yes, you read right – a waffle that includes a popular spread and has a delicious strawberry flavor. The best part is, we offer this too and even top it off with shredded coconut.
Banana Caramel Waffle: It’s definitely never too early for ice cream, so if you’re looking for a fruity taste with something sweet, this is the perfect combination. At Chip’s Family Restaurant, we put vanilla ice cream, bananas, whipped cream AND caramel drizzle on top.
Buttermilk Waffle: For all of you who prefer to keep things plain and simple, there’s always the traditional buttermilk waffle! Check out this recipe from food.com to learn how you can make your own.
Chicken and Waffles: An interesting mix, this is the perfect choice for those who are torn between breakfast and dinner foods. It’s easy – all you need to do is add some fried chicken to the top of your waffle, then you’re all set! Talk about the best of both worlds.
