Why Do Students Need To Eat Breakfast Before School?

Just like that, children are beginning to fall back into a school routine once again. But being that school may start earlier than your children are used to from the summer, we know that mornings can be the toughest part of the day. Unfortunately, we also know that that means many children may opt out of eating breakfast so that they can continue to snooze.
However, eating breakfast is so important for students that they would be doing themselves a disservice if they skipped out on this meal; here are a few reasons why:
Academics: Did you know that students who eat breakfast are often known to perform better academically? That’s right! In addition to studying diligently, the simple act of eating breakfast each day can help your child improve their grades. Not to mention, eating breakfast can aid in improving concentration, which directly affects a child’s ability to learn!
Behavior: It can be easy for children to get distracted in the classroom, but eating breakfast every day can help them keep their focus and exhibit great behavior. Even for those children who never struggle with behavior, eating breakfast can enhance their ability to continue to be a star student!
Health: Of course your child will have the opportunity to munch on food during lunch, but if they aren’t eating breakfast in the morning, it’s more likely that they’ll over-eat at school. By getting your child into the habit of eating a meal before they leave the house, you can reduce the chances that they’ll mistreat their body by consuming too many calories at once during the day.
