Chip's Family Restaurant historyAre you new to Fairfield, Orange, Southbury, Trumbull or Wethersfield, Connecticut? If you’ve just moved to the area, Chip’s Family Restaurant is one name you’ll definitely need to know! And even if you’ve lived here for quite some time, well, you should know us too! We proudly serve each of these communities with outstanding dining services and pride ourselves on our commitment to the local people of Connecticut.

But let’s go back to the beginning – where did it all start? If this is your first time hearing about us, or if you’re a regular but want to learn some more about our business, see below for some information about our history!

Originally located in Orange, Connecticut, we are most known for the incredible selection of pancakes we offer. However, in addition to the wide variety of breakfast foods on our menu, we also have quite the lunch and dinner menu as well.

In 2003, our current owner, George “Georgie” Chatzopoulos, took over the business and has worked diligently to create a dining experience that customers of all ages can enjoy. In fact, one thing he has done to help out is add fresh local produce and whole grain items to our menu – we definitely believe in being healthy!

Coming to the United States from Greece, George has also integrated some of his Greek and Mediterranean favorites with a traditional American family style meal – that’s one of the reasons we serve breakfast all day long! If you haven’t tried one of our featured items yet, we highly encourage you to stop by the next time you’re around.
