How To Make Pumpkin Pie Pancakes

‘Tis the season of everything pumpkin! In one of our recent blogs, we discussed four ways that you can use pumpkin spice in the kitchen this fall – have you tried any of our ideas yet? If not, today we’re going to break down one idea even further and provide you with the step-by-step instructions needed to get cooking. Check out the below to learn how you can make pumpkin pie pancakes at home.
For this recipe, you’ll first need to gather the following:
- 1 egg
- Skim milk
- Canned pumpkin
- Ground cinnamon
- Ground allspice
- Pancake mix
Once you have all of the necessary ingredients, proceed with the below:
Step 1: Mix 1 egg, 1 1/4 cups of skim milk, 2 cups of pancake mix, 1/2 cup of canned pumpkin, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of ground allspice in a large bowl – don’t stop mixing until your batter has a thick consistency.
Step 2: Apply just enough cooking spray to your pan, then begin pouring your batter – each pancake should be made with approximately 1/4 cup of batter.
Step 3: When you notice that your batter is bubbling, flip and let cook for about 3 minutes or until pancakes are golden brown.
Step 4: Enjoy!
