With only a little over a week left to prepare, you may be all up in arms about what to include in your menu for Thanksgiving dinner. Aside from the turkey, what are all of your guests guaranteed to like? As the host, it isn’t unusual to feel a little frantic when trying to plan a perfect holiday experience for all. But don’t worry – when it comes to the food, we’ve got you covered. Take a look below for a list of food items we recommend including in this year’s Thanksgiving feast:

1. Cranberry sauce: This one’s a no-brainer if you’re looking to follow a traditional route. Whether canned or homemade, you can’t go wrong with a dish of cranberry sauce for your guests to dig into.

2. Mashed potatoes: Another classic, mashed potatoes are a must for any Thanksgiving dinner. If you want to spice things up for this side dish, you may want to consider adding a tiny bit of garlic to the mix.

3. Rolls: Paired with a bit of a butter, dinner rolls are the perfect addition to any Thanksgiving plate. Not to mention, they can help curb your guests’ hunger before the real feast begins if the turkey is taking longer than expected.

4. Stuffing: Of course! Along with cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes, stuffing is one Thanksgiving side dish you can’t let your dinner go without.

5. Pumpkin Pie: We couldn’t finish our list without including a dessert! Considering that pumpkin is one of the most popular flavors of the fall season, you’ll want to serve some up alongside the usual brownies, cookies and cupcakes.

If you’re the holiday host, don’t let the process of coming up with a menu get the best of you and distract you from the rest of your holiday happenings. So long as you have this list in hand, getting the food together can be the least of your worries!
