How To Make The Perfect Scrambled Eggs
Posted on January 8th, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
When you’re in a rush to get the family out of the house in the morning, you may not be too inclined to whip up a breakfast meal complete with a main course and side dishes. However, the weekends are a different story! Does your family have a Saturday or Sunday morning tradition of having pancakes, waffles, and/or eggs? While eggs are often viewed as easy to make, it isn’t unusual to have them come out watery, dry or simply not scrambled enough if you aren’t familiar with the right tips and techniques – but that’s what we’re here for. Today, we’re talking about how to make the perfect scrambled eggs so every breakfast meal you make at home can be a total success; keep reading below.
Choose Nonstick
A nonstick pan is your best best to prevent your eggs from getting stuck to the bottom or the sides – you’d be surprised at how much can go to waste when this happens! Not to mention, nonstick is certainly easier for you to clean.
Use Fresh Eggs
This should go without saying, but we’ll remind you anyway – always use the freshest eggs you can find. If you use eggs that aren’t up to par from the beginning, there’s a pretty good chance that the final product won’t be so great either.
Crack In A Separate Bowl
It may seem more convenient to crack your eggs right onto the pan, but what you really want to do is crack them into a separate bowl so that you can whip them up good – this allows you to use a whisk instead of just a spatula.
Go Slow
Rather than turn your stove all the way up, try medium heat instead. Although it will take your eggs a bit longer to cook, the time you wait will be well worth it. When you try to cook them too fast and use more heat, chances are your eggs will start to dry out.
Save Add-Ins for Last
For those of you who like to add some cheese to your eggs or salt and pepper, wait until they’re just about done to do so. Since seasonings and other ingredients like cheese can affect the cooking process, it’s important that they’re added at just the right time.
