Warm Winter Desserts To Enjoy This Year
Posted on January 14th, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
Cuddling up by the fireplace or wrapping yourself in a warm blanket can certainly keep you toasty throughout the winter months, but did you know that the foods that you eat can also play a role in how warm or cold you feel? With the weather forecast predicting lows in the 20s and maybe even teens, it’s time to start whipping up those hot foods that spread warmth throughout your body when you eat! But sometimes a warm dinner just isn’t enough – let’s take a look at some warm desserts you can enjoy afterwards:
Apple Crisp: This delicious dessert may be more commonly associated with fall, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it in winter too. All you need to get started is some flour, sugar, salt, butter, oats, apples, cinnamon and lemon juice!
Chocolate Pudding Cake: Single servings of chocolate pudding will have your mouth watering as is, but an entire cake? Now that’s something! Although you will want to let it cool after it comes out of the oven, the warm chocolate on the inside can take the chill out of your bones in no time.
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies: What’s better than biting into a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie on a cold winter night? Taking a bite out of a double chocolate chip cookie! According to the recipe, it only takes about 10-12 minutes for each batch to cook, so you can enjoy this treat pretty quickly after you start baking.
