Tips For Hosting A Super Bowl Dinner Party
Posted on February 2nd, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
For all of the sports fans out there, this Sunday marks one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year – Super Bowl 50. As Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, we know that many of you will be huddled around the TV with family and friends cheering on the team you want to take home the title. But, if you’re the host, there’s a lot more that you have to do than just show up in your jersey – there’s the food and more to think about too! Here are a few tips that we’ve put together to help you ensure the night is a complete success:
Have Enough Snacks
Even if you’re ordering or making a big dinner, there’s nothing your guests will be looking for more than some chips and mozzarella sticks to much on during the game. So, make sure you have plenty of appetizers and finger foods ready to be put out, and keep an eye on the plates and bowls that you use so that you can replenish your supply when it starts to get a bit low.
Provide Adequate Seating
While you and your guests may not actually be in your seats during the game (especially if it’s an exciting one!), there must be enough seating so that everyone has a place to relax and eat. And remember, each of those seats should be in viewing range of the TV so that no one misses a beat.
Plan For Halftime
Aside from the game itself, the Super Bowl halftime show is what a lot of fans look forward to most, so take the timing of it into consideration when you decide when dinner will be served. Although most guests probably won’t have a problem with eating during the show, they may not want to miss any of it if they have to get up to serve themselves. That said, plan to open the kitchen a few minutes before the performers take the stage.
