How To Make Shamrock Pancakes For St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day sure is coming up quick! Do you feel like you’ve had the luck of the Irish on your side lately? Even if you haven’t found your pot of gold just yet, we’ve got something that will definitely have you feeling lucky on the morning of March 17th – a recipe for shamrock pancakes! We provided tips on how to make heart-shaped pancakes for Valentine’s Day, so of course we wouldn’t miss out on this holiday. Take a look below to learn how you can kick off St. Patrick’s Day with a delicious festive breakfast:
Step 1: Prepare your pancake batter using your favorite mix or create it from scratch.
Step 2: Once all of the ingredients have been mixed, add some green food coloring to the bowl and stir until all of your batter is a nice shade of green.
Step 3: Cook your pancakes as you normally would by following the instructions in your recipe.
Step 4: Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, begin cutting out hearts from each of your circular pancakes. Note – if you want to skip a few steps, opt for a shamrock cookie cutter instead!
Step 5: Taking three hearts at a time, place them together neatly in the shape of a shamrock, with each of the heart’s points overlapping ever so slightly in the middle.
Step 6: Use some of the excess pancake you have from cutting out your shapes and add it to your shamrocks for a stem.
Step 7: Re-heat if necessary and serve!
