How To Make Breakfast Healthier For Summer
Posted on April 25th, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
If you’ve made a promise to yourself to get in shape for summer but haven’t done much to move forward with your efforts, it’s crunch time. Although the first official day of summer is about two months away, as the weather continues to warm up you can bet that you and most others will be in summer mode well before then!
To start working on your summer body, one of the most important things you need to do is focus on your breakfast habits. Below, we’ve listed out some healthier breakfast choices you should consider:
Breakfast doesn’t necessarily need to be in solid form – you can also consume a liquid! If you have a favorite fruit, incorporate it into your breakfast each week by whipping up a smoothie!
Grapefruits are one of the most commonly recommended fruits for anyone trying to improve the state of their health. Not only do grapefruits help lower cholesterol levels and smooth out your skin, but they also help to boost metabolism which plays a huge role in weight loss efforts. That said, try eating half a grapefruit for breakfast twice a week!
If your favorite cereal isn’t one that has as many health benefits as you’d like, try going half and half with your next bowl. For example, mix 1/3 cup of a more hearty cereal with your favorite flavor/brand so that you can enjoy the same great taste while also meeting dietary requirements such as how much fiber you should consume in a day.
You’ve probably heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and since it plays a huge role in how you look and feel, you’ll want to be sure you’re choosing healthy options like those listed above every time you reach into your fridge or pantry!
