Five Of The Best Drinks For Spring
Posted on May 6th, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
Now that spring has sprung, let’s toast to the warmer weather! Since today is National Beverage Day, we wanted to introduce you to some fun and refreshing drinks that can satisfy your taste buds and keep you cool this season – take a look at our favorites below:
Watermelon Cooler: Watermelon is not only refreshing, but it’s also great for you too – it’s packed with vitamins and antioxidants! This particular watermelon based drink is super easy to make at home and will leave you feeling hydrated and refreshed.
June Bug: This combo of ginger ale and orange juice is the perfect mix for a fruity sparkling spring drink – the kids will love it too! Just add 3 scoops of orange sherbet to your mix of ginger ale, orange juice and grenadine and you’ve got yourself the ideal spring treat!
Strawberry Basil Soda: We are in peak strawberry season, and this refreshment is a great alternative to store bought soda! Most of the required ingredients are ones you can already find in your home, so dust off that blender and search through the fridge so that you don’t miss out on one of the season’s best!
Blackberry Sweet Tea: We would be remiss if we didn’t include a tea on our “must-try spring beverage” list. This twist on the traditional iced tea is infused with the combination of zesty blackberries and the coolness of mint, and is then topped off with some more blackberries! We can already taste our mouths watering, can you?
Electric Lemonade: There’s a reason this one is called electric! Lemonade is arguably the ultimate spring refresher, and this lemonade cocktail is no exception. Its slushy-like consistency and citrusy flavor makes this unique alcoholic treat the quickest way to mentally transport yourself to an island in Hawaii.
