Although there is still plenty of fall left to enjoy, by now you’ve probably visited all of your favorite apple orchards and are onto the pumpkin patches to get the perfect pumpkin for Halloween. With that said, do you have any apples left over from what you picked earlier in the season? If so, you definitely don’t want them to go to waste, so here are a few different foods you can make:

Apple French Toast

Love breakfast foods? If french toast in particular is one of your favorite morning meals, take it to the next level by giving it an apple filling! This recipe calls for 4 large apples, so if you have enough left and are in need of some breakfast this week, you can’t wrong with giving apple french toast a shot.

Apple-Cider Doughnuts

Doughnuts are an awesome treat regardless of the time of year, but apple-cider doughnuts in fall are one of our favorites! They’re super easy to make too when you follow this recipe from Country Living, and you’ll wind up with about 12 doughnuts, giving you plenty to enjoy!

Apple Pie

This one’s a classic, and even if you’ve already enjoyed some store bought apple pie this fall, we think you’ll enjoy the taste even better when you make it yourself. And since there are so many ways you can make apple pie we couldn’t narrow it down to just one – instead, we suggest you check out this list of 30+ apple pie recipes!

Apple Butter

If you like to put butter on your pancakes, waffles and toast, then making apple butter is a must this fall. It’s not too difficult and just requires the following ingredients: apples, apple cider, orange juice, brown sugar and granulated sugar. When you spread this over your breakfast foods rather than traditional butter, we just know you’ll love the added flavor it gives your meal!

Caramel Apples

You don’t have to go to a fall festival to pick yourself up some caramel apples, you can make them right at home! This recipe calls for apples, dark corn syrup, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, heavy cream, salt, unsalted butter and vanilla, and one round of ingredients will produce enough caramel for 12 dipped apples!

We love apples here at Chip’s Family Restaurant, and if you dine with us any time soon, we highly recommend fresh apple slices on top of your pancakes or give our German Apple pancakes a try.
