7 New Year’s Resolutions For Foodies
Posted on December 12th, 2016 by Chips Restaurants
2016 is coming to an end and if you’re anything like us, we’re sure you’ve crossed a number of those “I’ve been dying to try that place” restaurants and those “I’ve got to try that” recipes off of your list this year. And while this surely was a great year for Foodies, we’re always looking forward to what next year has in store for us. So as you make reservations for the last few places on your list, here are a few resolutions to keep in mind for the New Year:
-
- Make tomato sauce from scratch. You know, just the way Grandma used to make it – none of that stuff from the can!
-
- Clean out that cluttered refrigerator. The easiest way to begin is by looking for items that have expired. Toss them in the trash right away and then once you have some space freed up, you can begin to rearrange.
-
- Sharpen up those dull knives. After all, slicing dicing and cutting with a dull knife can cause serious injuries. Not to mention, it takes up valuable time.
-
- Stop asking waiters and waitresses questions you already know the answers to. They are working hard and you don’t want to make them angry. They are serving your food, ya know!
-
- Don’t make your friends wait hours to have a “fancy” brunch at a “trendy” restaurant. Treat them to a delicious meal at Chip’s Family Restaurant instead!
-
- Spend time learning about wine. It can be a great conversation starter and most wine enthusiasts will be able to tell right away if you’re bluffing.
-
- Grow your own fruits and vegetables. Sure, it’s easier to buy them from the local supermarket, but there’s nothing better than fresh ingredients from your own backyard.
Now that you’ve got a few resolutions to try out this year, pick a friend or family member to try them out with! Get the New Year started on the right foot and don’t forget, Chip’s Family Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to customers in Fairfield, Orange, Southbury, Trumbull and Wethersfield, Connecticut. Breakfast is served all day, and customers can even place an order online for pickup. For more information about locations and menu items, please click on the tabs above.
