Make Your Own Hummus 3 Ways

We’re almost certain that hummus is one of the best snacks on earth. With a variety of flavors available and the fact that you can basically dip anything in there, it’s no wonder so many people turn to it for a quick bite when they’re hungry. But if you’re tired of spending roughly $5.99 for a container, you’ll be happy to hear that making it at home is easy and delicious!
Roasted Bell Pepper
Ingredients:
- Cooked chickpeas (1, 15oz. can)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 1 small clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp finely ground black pepper
- 1 cup roasted bell pepper
Lemon
Ingredients:
- Cooked chickpeas (1, 15oz. can)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 1 small clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp finely ground black pepper
- ¼ cup chopped preserved lemons
Olive
Ingredients:
- Cooked chickpeas (1, 15oz. can)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp tahini
- 1 small clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp finely ground black pepper
- ¾ cup chopped green or black olives
Directions:
- Rinse and drain chickpeas (pinch skins for smoother hummus)
- Combine all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasonings
- Transfer to a bowl and serve with your choice of pita wedges, pita chips, sliced vegetables or pretzels
