4 Ways To Take Your Turkey Sandwich To The Next Level
Posted on June 5th, 2017 by Chips Restaurants
Tired of the same old turkey slapped between two pieces of stale white bread? June is National Turkey Lovers month and it’s time to kick those bad habits to the curb. Turn your boring lunch into an exciting and filling meal with these 4 tricks. Heck, you might even want to try them for dinner, too!
Make It a Triple Decker
There’s nothing like the classic Turkey Club sandwich and at Chip’s we’re doing it all right. Pile on the turkey, lettuce, tomato and bacon and top it off with mayo or Thousand Island dressing. Everything’s better when it’s a triple decker.
Opt For Fresh Carved
If you have the choice, go for the freshly carved turkey rather than the pre-sliced. It’s heartier and makes for better sandwiches if you ask us. Consider topping it with bacon and cream cheese – you can even eat this one for breakfast!
Add Pickled Veggies
Most of the time, boring sandwiches are boring because they lack toppings. We recommend adding your choice of pickled vegetables for a pop of color and a dash of flavor.
The Bread Makes All The Difference
Sure, white bread is a classic and whole grain bread is known to have a variety of health benefits. But if you really want to kick your sandwiches up a notch, try grilled sourdough bread or a ciabatta roll. After all, it’s not always just about what’s between the bread.
