Keeping our focus on pancakes, there are a ton of ways that you can use pancake mix when baking, with the outcome not always having to be a fluffy breakfast meal. Below, learn three alternative uses for pancake mix – we bet you haven’t thought of these before!
Grab some pancake mix, butter/margarine, eggs and sugar and you’ve got everything you need to whip up a batch of your favorite cookies! For every 4 cups of pancake mix that you use, add 3/4 cup of butter or margarine, 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and 2 eggs into a bowl, then mix! Once you’ve got your dough all you need to do is break it apart into what will be individual cookies and bake for about 5 minutes in an oven set to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Apple Pancake Rings
If you love apples and pancakes separately, then you’ll definitely love them combined. All you need to whip up this delicious dessert is some pancake mix, buttermilk, pumpkin pie spice, lemon zest and apples. Pizza from pancake mix? Yep, you read right! A cross between pizza, a taco and a tostada, this delicious dinner all starts with your Bisquick mix. The ingredients for this unique meal are: cornmeal, Bisquick baking mix, cold water, ground beef or turkey, green chilies, taco seasoning mix, refried beans, cheddar cheese and the toppings of your choice (such as lettuce and tomatoes).
