What’s better than eating something that tastes good that’s actually good for you? Not much if you ask us. That’s why at Chip’s Family Restaurant, everything is homemade and we choose to use fresh, local produce and whole grain items whenever possible. Well, with that said, this week is National Farmer’s Market week and there’s no better way to stock up on the freshest ingredients!
Whether you’re looking for fruits and veggies, craving homemade cakes or pies, or looking to fill your refrigerator or freezer with organic meats, the farmers market is the way to go. Some of the ones in our area even offer dog treats, soaps and lotions, and wood fired pizza!
Here are a few farmers markets around Connecticut that we highly recommend:

New Canaan Year Round Farmers Market
Winter: New Canaan Nature Center
Summer: Old Center School
